Fellowship
Program Overview
Objective
Promote minority-owned businesses in Pittsburgh, help them achieve their goals, and build their networks.
History
CASTUS launched the Fellowship for Minority Business Owners in 2021 with a cohort of five Fellows including Jazmiere Bates (Owner, Kin of Duncan), Nisha Blackwell (Owner, Knotzland), Selima Dawson (Owner, Blakbird Jewelry), Chrisarah Johnson (Owner, Good Days Brand), TaRay & Raynise Kelly (Owners, Soil Sisters). The Fellows received access to a Business Development Workshop led by CASTUS. The Fellowship Award winner, Jazmiere Bates, also received $5,000 grant funding.
This year, we’re excited to be building on the program, offering more access to local experts on broader subject matters and grant funding to the Fellowship Award Winner.
Eligibility
Businesses are eligible to apply if they are Minority Owned, have an established product or service that they are actively selling, and are headquartered in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
CASTUS Fellowship is on hold for 2023. Please check back for info on future opportunities.
